Specialty coffee · Stone-ground matcha
Espresso pulled with care and matcha whisked to order, in the heart of Riyadh.
ميزان /mee-zaan/ — Arabic for balance. The steady hand of a scale, the even pour of a kettle.
Mizan is a coffee and matcha house built around a simple idea: that the best cups come from patience. We pull espresso slowly, whisk matcha by hand, and pour Saudi coffee the way it has always been poured — generously, for whoever walks in.
A place for slow mornings

Our coffee rotates with the seasons. We dial in each origin every morning, tasting until the cup is balanced — bright enough to be interesting, round enough to finish clean.
Espresso, filter, or a slow V60 at the bar: ask us what we’re excited about today.

N° 03 — The matcha counter
Stone-ground matcha prepared the patient way — sifted, whisked by hand and served the moment it is ready. Drink it pure as usucha, or soft and creamy as a latte.

Step 01
Every serving passes through a fine sieve, so it whisks without a single clump.
Step 02
A bamboo chasen, water just off the boil, and quick zig-zag strokes until the surface turns to silk.
Step 03
Over steamed milk, cold milk or simply water — as soft or as bright as you like it.

The grinder warms, the first espresso is dialled in, and the early regulars take their seats by the window.
Croissants from the oven, flat whites to the table, and conversations that run past noon.
The light softens. Iced matcha, a slice of cheesecake and the quiet hum of laptops and catch-ups.
Families and friends linger over Saudi coffee, dates and one last cortado under warm, low lamps.

N° 06 — The room
Low tables for long conversations, a bar for watching the pour, corners for working alone. Come early for the sun. Stay late for the hum.
N° 07 — Philosophy

01 · The bean
A good espresso takes thirty seconds. We taste every morning, adjust, and taste again — and never rush a shot to the counter.
02 · The leaf
Matcha is sifted, then whisked by hand in quick strokes until it turns silky. One bowl at a time, the way the tradition asks.
03 · The cup
Saudi hospitality is where we start: a warm greeting, a small cup offered, and time given freely to whoever walks in.

The coffee brings you in. The way you are looked after is what brings you back — so we sweat the small things.
Window seats for two, family booths and a long table for groups — message ahead for eight or more.
Power at most seats, fast Wi-Fi and a calmer back room through the morning.
Coffee and matcha until after midnight, later still on Thursdays and Fridays.
Saudi coffee and a date offered to every table — the oldest welcome there is.
Oat, almond and lactose-free milk at no extra charge on every drink.
High chairs, a babyccino on the house and room for prams between tables.
